Some things just improve with time

After debriefing with the police, the Chamber of Commerce want to express gratitude for their support. Most of the police force donated their time for our 4th of July parade/celebration. THANK YOU!

A few items that need to be improved from their observation:

1. Absolutely no personal fireworks on school grounds. Next year they will be escorting individuals who light fireworks on school grounds off the property.

2. No dogs! Every year there are a number of dogs that go missing due to fright from the firework display. Please leave them happy and safe at home.

3. No vehicles past the gates around the stadium. This is a safety issue. If emergency vehicles were needed inside the stadium this year, they would have not been able to get in. It also is a huge risk for pedestrians and cars leaving the stadium grounds after the fireworks.

Let's work together to make next year's celebration better yet.

Thank you again Mount Angel Police department!

Nice to know! I was very concerned this year when my family left the school after fireworks. Small children and cars are not a good combination.
